Youth and Community
We are experts in helping young people and communities influence the decisions that affect them
We train and facilitate with both young people and adults to help young people to have a more meaningful say in their own lives, in communities and in wider decision-making.
We run peer education training, peer research training, young community leaders training, action planning and much more!
If you want young people to have a say in what you do, contact us and we can help you work out what participation means to you and how you can achieve it.
See our Annual Review to find out about what groups and projects we have worked on this year.
You can also follow our updates and opportunities on Twitter!
We start where young people are at and train or facilitate young people's groups directly.
We also know that strong youth participation relies on youth workers and other professionals being skilled enough to deliver programmes and events, so we deliver training and facilitation for practitioners too, as well as help with an organisational-wide approach to participation.
Our programmes help young people influence how both large and small decisions are made.
Through our tailored support and encouragement young people begin to develop the confidence and skills to contribute and to learn their rights and responsibilities when making decisions.
We believe that supporting all young people to influence decision-making means:
- Ensuring that young people have the knowledge, skills and confidence to speak up and contribute
- Equipping youth workers with methods and tools so that they can encourage young people's involvement more effectively
- Developing a shared organisational vision for youth participation and taking steps to make that vision happen
