Thank you and farewell to Amelia Lee, who will be leaving the ICA:UK staff team at the end of June after over 5 years as Youth Participation Programme Manager. During that time, Amelia's leadership has enabled and supported thousands of young people to play leadership roles themselves, and so to make a positive difference in their communities and in the organisations that serve them. You will be able to read her own reflections on the programme and her time with ICA:UK in the upcoming issue of ICA:UK Network News.
On behalf of the staff team, and ICA:UK as a whole, we wish Amelia all the very best for her ongoing roles with Feminist Webs (hosted by ICA:UK in recent years) and LGBT Youth North West, and as a freelancer in the field youth work and diversity - including as a freelance associate of ICA:UK. From July, Amelia can be reached at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it and at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Regrettably the ICA:UK youth programme has not escaped the impact of the recession and public spending cuts that have had such a devastating impact on the youth sector, so the post and the programme will not continue in their current form. We will, however, continue to offer facilitation, training and consuting services to existing and new clients and partners in the sector, drawing on the extensive capacity and experience within our network of associates as well as within the staff team.
