Capacity Development of African ICAs at the national and regional
level
Nature of the programme
This programme is primarily responsive, with the level of
activity largely determined by the African ICAs themselves.
ICA:UK works in partnership with the African ICAs (see Criteria
for Partnership pdf) and provides services and advice
as and when they are sought. Much of this is in the form of
e-mail exchanges.
Examples of closer collaboration include: preparation and
submission of project proposals to UK donors who require a
UK NGO to be involved (see Fundraising),
provision of training support to courses run by ICAs in Africa
(e.g. International Training of Facilitators Ghana, and International
Training of Development Practitioners Zimbabwe).
